Recipes: teach your assistant to take payments, bookings and price questions.
Your assistant reads whatever you write in Settings → Business context and follows it in every conversation. That box is more powerful than it looks — paste in one of the tested recipes below (with your own links and prices), save, and your assistant can do things most people think need a custom build. No code, no new tools, live the moment you save.
How a recipe works
- 1.Copy a recipe below and replace the example links and prices with your own.
- 2.Paste it at the end of your Business context in Settings, then save. You can combine several recipes — they stack.
- 3.Message your own number from another phone and try it. You'll see the assistant use your recipe in a real conversation.
Every recipe on this page has been tested against the live assistant before publishing — including the awkward cases, like a customer asking to pay before they've said what they want, or haggling mid-payment.
Take payment by link
When a customer is ready to pay, your assistant sends the right payment link, on its own line, for the service they asked about. Create the links once in your payment provider — Stripe Payment Links, PayPal, HitPay, or any service that gives you a pay-by-link URL — then paste them into the recipe:
Payments: when the customer is ready to pay or asks how to pay, send the correct payment link below on its own line, with one short sentence saying what it is for. Never send a payment link before the customer has told you which service they want. After sending the link, add: once you complete payment you will receive an email confirmation. - Full groom (dogs under 10kg), $60: https://buy.stripe.com/test_fullgroom - Deluxe groom (any size), $95: https://buy.stripe.com/test_deluxegroom If the service they want is not listed, say the owner will confirm pricing and follow up.
What a conversation looks like:
Customer: Yes please, how do I pay?
Assistant: Great! Here's the payment link for the full groom: https://buy.stripe.com/test_fullgroom — payment for the full groom ($60). Once you complete payment you'll receive an email confirmation.
The confirmation line matters: your payment provider already emails the receipt, so the customer knows exactly what happens after they pay. If someone asks to pay before saying what they want, the assistant asks which service first. If they haggle, it holds your listed price and offers to have you follow up — it will never invent a discount.
Take bookings by link
When a customer wants to book or asks about availability, your assistant sends your booking link and lets them pick a time there — it never confirms or invents a time itself. Works with Cal.com, Calendly, or any tool that gives you a booking URL:
Bookings: when the customer wants to book or asks about availability, send this link on its own line and tell them to pick a time there: https://cal.com/example-studio Never confirm or suggest specific times yourself — all times are chosen on the booking page. After sending the link, add: once you book, you will receive an email confirmation.
Customer: Can I come in tomorrow at 3pm?
Assistant: I'd love to help you book in! Please head to https://cal.com/example-studio and pick your preferred time there. Once you book, you'll receive an email confirmation.
Notice it does not say "3pm works" — the time gets chosen on your booking page, where your real availability lives, and the confirmation comes from your booking tool, which already emails it.
Answer price questions from a list
Your assistant never invents a price — that's a hard rule it can't break. Give it a price list and it will quote it exactly, and defer to you on anything not listed:
Prices (quote these exactly, never round them or invent others): - Consultation: $50 - Follow-up session: $35 - Home visit: $80 If asked about a service that is not listed, say the owner will confirm the price and follow up.
Customer: What do you charge for teeth cleaning?
Assistant: We don't have a standard price listed for teeth cleaning yet — the owner will follow up with you about pricing. What's your name, and can you tell me a bit more about what you're looking for?
Combine them
Recipes stack — paste the price list and the booking link and the assistant answers "how much is a consultation and can I book one for Friday?" with the exact price and the booking link in one reply. Write your own blocks the same way: a plain instruction, the facts it may use, and what to do when something isn't covered.
Good recipes are plain instructions
Write your own blocks the same way these are written: one plain instruction, the facts the assistant may use, and what to do when something isn't covered. Keep it short, test it from another phone, and adjust the wording until the conversations look the way you want.
