RocketReply Web — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026 · Applies to the RocketReply Web browser extension
This policy covers the RocketReply Web Chrome/Edge extension only. The short version: your messages, contacts and chat history never touch our servers. The extension works entirely on your device; our servers only ever see your email address, and only to manage your license.
1. What we collect
- Email address — used solely to verify and manage your license (Free trials, Premium and Pro subscriptions). Obtained via your browser profile with your permission, or entered by you.
- License & billing state — your plan, trial status and renewal dates, provided by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- An anonymous install counter — a daily active-install ping with no identifiers, no content and no browsing data.
2. What we never collect
- Message content, chat history, contact lists or call data.
- Your templates, scheduled messages, tasks, settings or recovered deleted messages — these live only in your browser's local storage.
- Your OpenRouter API key — it is stored locally in your browser and is only ever sent to
openrouter.ai.
3. AI features (bring your own key)
AI draft replies and tone rewriting send the recent messages of the conversation you are viewing directly from your browser to OpenRouter, under an API key you create and own. These requests never pass through RocketReply servers. OpenRouter processes them under its own privacy policy, and the model provider you select applies its own terms. Any business context you enter (description, hours, FAQs) is stored locally and included only in these direct requests.
4. Webhooks
If you configure webhooks, incoming message events (chat, sender, text, timestamp) are sent from your browser to the HTTPS URLs you explicitly provide, signed with your own secret. Webhooks are off by default and fire only to endpoints you set up. We never receive this data.
5. Deleted-message recovery
The recovery feature keeps a local, per-chat copy of recent messages in your browser's storage, expires it after 7 days, and can be disabled or wiped at any time from settings. This data never leaves your device.
6. Third-party processors
- Stripe — payments and subscription management (Stripe Customer Portal).
- OpenRouter — AI requests, direct from your browser, under your key.
- Turso — license database (email + plan status only).
7. Your control
- Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
- Manage or cancel your subscription any time via the Stripe Customer Portal link in the extension settings.
- To delete your license record, email support@rocketreply.ai.
8. Independence
